The Village of Mattawan

The mission of the Village of Mattawan government is to provide public services in an effective and efficient manner and to improve the quality of life for all of the residents and visitors in our community.

Mattawan is located on the eastern border of Van Buren County, easily accessed off of I-94. It’s local economy is supported by a strong manufacturing base, including plastic products and pharmaceutical research & development. Its proximity to the Kalamazoo area just 7 miles away also lends to its economic support. The Village offers small-town charm in the downtown area, which features a shady city park on one side of the main street area and a row of unique shops and eating establishments on the other.
